MONDAY Nature Playgroup: 10am-12pm

Service Description

For parents to attend with any age tamariki. This group meets weekly on Mondays from 10am-12pm in various locations. 28 April - 23 June (excl Kings Bday). 8 sessions total for the term. Cost per whānau: $75 for 8 sessions, $45 for 4 sessions. “Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.”  - Kay Redfield Jamison The Imperfect Parents' Nature Play Group - for parents and tamariki of all ages to explore the outdoors together! MONDAY mornings 10am-12pm 28th April - 23rd June. 8 sessions in total for the term (excl. Kings Bday). Cost per whānau: $75 for 8 sessions, $45 for 4 sessions (to attend anytime during the term).  $5/session if you attend another Imperfect Parents' group this term.  Locations around central Auckland (including Pt Chev Beach, Pt Erin Park, Cornwall Park, Western Springs,  Mt Albert Domain and Takapuna Beach). The group is open to all parents, regardless of gender, or how many children you have. Payment is per whānau, and other adults/caregivers are welcome to attend with you or in your place with your children. If you have heard that parenting is easier with a village, but weren't sure where to find it, this is the place. Nature Playgroup is a space for unstructured play led by your children. Facilitated by Dagmar van Antwerpen, our Nature Playgroups provide an opportunity to gather outdoors every week with like-minded whānau. These playgroups help foster parents'/caregivers' confidence in supporting their children's free play in nature. We provide simple resources, and follow our children's lead as they explore the world with all their senses. This is your chance to learn to observe how your child is playing, how they are moving, who they’re playing with and what they’re interested in. See what magic happens when you stand back and let things unfold! Previous attendees have said: "I liked how inclusive and relaxed it was.
