Nature Playgroup SUMMER SESSIONS!

Service Description

Summer Nature Play Sessions Monday 12th Jan - Milford Beach Monday 19th Jan - French Bay Tuesday 27th Jan - Cheltenham Beach 10am-12pm - but you're welcome to arrive and leave earlier or later if it suits you better. Many of us will be making a day trip/picnic of it! Our wonderful facilitator Dagmar van Antwerpen will set up her big mats and open-ended play resources in the shade, so children are free to explore and adults can hang out! Sign up for one session, or all three! Special summer rate of $8 per whānau per session. Register for one, two or three of the sessions. Once registered, you'll be added to our Playgroup whatsapp chat for exact location and weather updates. WET WEATHER BACKUP - in the event of bad weather we will postpone until the next day (Tuesday). The group is open to all parents, regardless of gender, or how many children you have. Payment is per whānau, and other adults/caregivers are welcome to attend with you or in your place with your children. If you have heard that parenting is easier with a village, but weren't sure where to find it, this is the place. Nature Playgroup is a space for unstructured play led by your children. Facilitated by Dagmar van Antwerpen, our Nature Playgroups provide an opportunity to gather outdoors every week with like-minded whānau. These playgroups help foster parents'/caregivers' confidence in supporting their children's free play in nature. We provide simple resources, and follow our children's lead as they explore the world with all their senses. This is your chance to learn to observe how your child is playing, how they are moving, who they’re playing with and what they’re interested in. See what magic happens when you stand back and let things unfold! Previous attendees have said: "I liked how inclusive and relaxed it was.
