  • Imperfect Parents' Nature Playgroup for the discounted price of $5/session

  • Access to the private Imperfect Parents' Facebook group

The group is open to all parents regardless of whānau structure, gender identity or how many children you have. It is designed for you to attend alone, without your children.

If you have heard that parenting is easier with a village, but weren't sure where to find it, this is the place. This is the group that many of our Imperfect Parents have been asking for: a group that has been set up with the wellbeing of parents at the forefront, because we know that social support is crucial for easing feelings of isolation, and increasing confidence and enjoyment in our roles as parents!

The Imperfect Parents' Group is a safe, non-judgmental space for honest conversation and connection. Simple conversation starters and gently-guided facilitation means that discussions get to the nitty-gritty deep topics much more quickly than the awkward small talk that can happen on the sidelines of other social occasions, and everyone has an opportunity to talk. Discussions are guided by the needs of the group members on the day, rather than following a set 'curriculum', which means that information, support and advice is relevant to what attendees are going through right then and there.

Sessions will explore topics like shifts in identity, learning to trust yourself and your child, responsive parenting and what this really means, navigating information overwhelm, parent wellbeing, relationship shifts, sleep, feeding, and so much more!

Previous attendees at Imperfect Parents' evening group have said:

"Very safe and inclusive space, accessible information and good vibes."

"Some great parenting hacks and hearing everyone else’s experiences and challenges is great"

"Community. Solidarity. Support. An outlet."

If finances are a barrier at all, please get in touch. There are koha spaces available, which means you give only what you can afford - the aim is for these groups to be accessible to absolutely everyone who would like to be there!
