Only showing groups with spaces still available
Come join us!

Weekday morning groups for parents of infants.
Thursday evening parents' group.
Nature Playgroup Monday and Friday mornings, various central Auckland locations.
Imperfect Parents' groups are safe, non-judgmental spaces for conversation, vulnerability, and connection.
All our parents' groups are LGBTQIA+ inclusive, open to all parents, regardless of gender, or how many other children you have.
We meet weekly (or fortnightly on Thursday evenings) throughout the school term. When you register you will meet with the same group each week, building on connections and forming real friendships.
Our goal is for each group to run for two terms, building long-lasting friendships that are maintained even once the in-person groups have finished.
Nature Playgroup is an opportunity to gather with other whānau, with children of all ages for unstructured playtime, connection and community in nature!
"Children cannot bounce off the walls if we take the walls away"
- Erin Kenny

What to expect: Imperfect Parents group
In our Imperfect Parents' groups simple conversation starters and gently-guided facilitation means that conversations get to the nitty-gritty deep topics much more quickly than the awkward small talk that can happen on the sidelines of other 'baby activity' groups, and everyone has an opportunity to talk. Discussions are guided by the needs of the group members on the day, rather than following a set 'curriculum', which means that information, support and advice is relevant to what parents are going through right then and there. Sessions will explore topics like: shifts in identity, learning to trust yourself and your baby, responsive parenting and what this really means, navigating information overwhelm, parent wellbeing, relationship shifts, sleep, feeding, and so much more!
What to expect: Nature Playgroup
Child-led, unstructured play and community! Dagmar is there to provide shady spaces to gather on our mats, open-ended resources for your children to explore however they wish (as long as it's safe!), and to help parents and children make connections with one another and the environment around them.
Your child has autonomy to decide the direction of their own play, with limited boundaries. As the adults, we are there to support them, keep them safe and only intervene when absolutely necessary. This is your chance to observe how your child is playing, how they are moving, who they’re playing with, and what they’re interested in. See what kind of magic happens when you stand back and let things unfold!
The other beauty of standing back is that it gives you a chance to get to know the other adults in attendance, and maybe even build some friendships for yourself!
All our groups are open to all caregivers, and whānau can attend nature playgroup with children of any age.
WHERE?
Our location each week is dependent on weather forecast and tides/Safeswim, and we aim to rotate between central-ish locations, like: Pt Chevalier Beach, Cornwall Park, Takapuna Beach, Fowlds Park, Pt Erin Park , Underwood Park, Mt Albert Domain, Auckland Domain.
"We loved the lack of structure and how the session was entirely free play. I enjoyed watching my girls explore in nature with no agenda or plan. I loved how Dagmar describes the group as a ‘yes’ space. That now sits in my head when we’re exploring outside."
